Dragon's eye

Even a dragon can be in awe of a great miracle.

The dragon opened his remaining eye in search of his victim. He rose and spotted her rolled up in a defensive position, covering her head with her arms. He opened his mouth and ignited his venom as it charged its target. The girl's body emitted a beautiful lilac light. The fire touched her skin but was unable to burn any of it. She was lying there, waiting to die. Upon witnessing this miracle, the dragon stopped breathing fire and inspected her carefully. Her skin was still as soft as it had always been. The dragon growled and bowed down his head towards her. She opened her eyes very slowly. As she saw the dragon bow down to her, she grabbed her sword and cut off his head. His soul would now be hers forever.

It's the journey that matters.

I came across this article which really inspired me and made me look at my craft in another way. It's called Balls of Steel: How to manage time flying.

The thing that struck me the most was this quote:
Writing is living – at least it is for me. The rhythm of the keys tapping is the heartbeat of my art. It is my blood. If I didn’t write, I would die. I mean that with all sincerity. I. Would. Die. - Jeanne Veillette Bowerman

The Craft

I'm reading a great book on storytelling! It's 'Story' by Robert McKee! Learning so much that my next work is bound to be a blast... I hope!

Such is my progression nowadays! Improving my craft.

One more can't hurt!

I submitted two entries for the Fresh Voices Screenplay Competition yesterday night. They will get to read the pilot to a scifi series I sent in to their Pitch Contest earlier this year. The second one is an action/fantasy feature I came to call 'Swamp Knight'.

Get ready for the new!

Congratulations to the winners and finalists of the Fresh Voices Pitch Contest! I only made it to the Long list, but didn't have time to post it here due to another contest I had to write for.

(The winners of the Script Pipeline's Great Movie Idea Contest will be announced August 15. (I don't expect too much from this one for now though.))

Battlestar Galactica Sequel

This is a fan fiction concept I wrote for a sequel series to the new Battlestar Galactica some time ago. It's a fan fiction and I declare it is all based on the world of Battlestar Galactica, the renewed series. I do only own the concept for the sequel series, not the material nor most of the characters described in this concept document.
Find the page here and find out more about me on the Presentation page.

Changes in nature

My element is water
Tears have put out the fire in my heart,
and-
Left ashes of longing

The missing fire makes drought just barren,
-any barren is selfish-
and nothing wants everything.

I seemed to love the illusion,
but you're reality
I'd say: I do, you're my destiny
but you-
You would do too,
just to please me
That's how I came to see :

Your elements fuse
Love changes in your very basis
I will be happy with the water
With which I will sustain an oasis.

Game presentation!

Lea'Nor's Lament is a role-playing game taking place in a post-apocalyptic world where your actions will directly influence another dimension, later identified to be the past. The player is only able to control one character but the possibility to use weapons in a magical way offers many possible combinations and fighting styles. The weapons and the combinations he makes stand for an enhanced experience.

First painting test for a colorkey
More information will be posted on the new Gameplay page when ready.

Nissu is here!

Hi there

Nissu has been adapted to blend in more into a post-apocalyptic world.

New works

Inside they hear Lea'Nor's voice which is singing quietly, but she's nowhere to be seen. When they shout for her, there's no noise coming out of their throats.

Blind Contour Drawings

Blind Contour drawing is a favourite with drawing teachers to develop hand-eye communication. Contour drawing is essentially outline drawing, and blind contour drawing means drawing the outline of the subject without looking at the paper. The end result doesn't matter - what is important is carefully observing the subject.

Now, can you guys recognize these sports? Please only mention your favorite so others can leave a comment too!
